Ice Split is a fast-paced card game where players build their own ice cream displays, balancing tempting flavours with clever objectives. Each card is double-sided, showing an objective on one half and an ice cream flavour on the other, and every choice forces you to decide what matters more right now: scoring potential or future flexibility. The theme playfully captures the tension between piling on scoops and meeting specific challenges, all in a light, competitive atmosphere.
On your turn, you add one card to your personal display by sliding it to either end, choosing whether to reveal its objective side or its flavour side. Cards can only be added to the far left or right, so the order of your display becomes increasingly important as the game progresses. After playing a card, you draw a new one either from a shared face-up selection or blindly from the deck, creating constant interaction and tactical decisions as players race to complete the best combinations before space runs out.
The game ends when every player has built a display of 13 cards. Players then score points by fulfilling the objectives they have revealed, using the flavours in their display to satisfy specific conditions such as sets, sequences, rarity, or variety. Each objective can only be scored once, and incomplete objectives score nothing, so timing and planning are crucial. The player with the highest total score wins, proving themselves the ultimate ice cream maker of the summer.
